Great Packs
Great Packs used to be around from before the culling that decimated the wolves. When the humans killed the wolves, Great Packs came back by necessity. They are the four ruling packs over the wolves, with both the Alphas from each Great Pack ruling the Council. Every wolf, whether they are loner or live in packs outside of the Great Packs, are allied to one of the Packs, able to be called in in the event of a war.
The Great Packs
Cazador The Great pack who want to kill all humans, to get revenge on the events of two decades previously. Members have been known to be blood-thirsty, and one or two of these have the 'honour' of killing a human under their paw.
Taskann These are wolves who are allied with the Cazador, but who don't go to their extremes. They have a few human killers in their midst, but they are generally living by the rule of protect your pack, not the humans. If they were to come across a human alone, they might kill or injure it.
Kaitsma This Great Pack contains wolves who have decided that what happened in the past should stay in the past. They have been known to defend the humans, but at no cost to themselves.
Velani These are loosely allied with the Kaitsma, but where the Kaitsa are defenders, the Velani are fighters. They will fight other wolves to protect the humans, having fully forgiven the humans for the deaths in the past.
Alpha(s)
The leader of the pack. Either you have gained entry by hierarchy or by fighting and proving yourself to be the best in the pack. You command the warriors, make all of the decisions, and most importantly, to have pups. Now in real life only the alpha pair may mate, but we bend that rule on here. The alpha is allowed to court the deputy's mate at any given time if wished, and you have to be willing to fight anyone or anything for your title. You can be disowned or dis crowned if you fail to make the best decisions for your pack.
Also Called: Alpha / King / Alphen / Alpha Bruja / Lead Bruja / High Lead / Master / Lord / General / Lady / Dragga(male) / Drappa(Female) / Mistress / High Lady / Alphaess / Alphena / Queen / ETC
Beta(s)
The second leader in the pack, you are allowed to have a mate. You are probably the alpha's best mate or have proved yourself to be trusted by everybody in the pack, and though you are the main disciplinary, everyone usually likes you. The deputess, or your female mate, may be courted by the male alpha if he wishes, this is a fact of reality (I don't think anyone on here will do that though..) so don't cry about the alpha stealing you away.
Also Called: Delta / Lord Beta/ Betan / Second Commander / Colonel
Guardian
You are the protecter of the pack. You guard the borders and the pack itself, and are alone more then when you are with the pack. You patrol the borders frequently. You are of as much importance as the Deltas themselves, if not, more important. You are the single wolf in the pack that is more trusted then anyone, and it is very hard to get this job. If you do, you have landed a very high-risked job, but also a very high ranking in the pack. Only one for the rank. Also the disciplinary captain, you enforce the rules, and work closely with the scouts and warriors leaders. Some packs do not allow their Guardians to breed, though they may take mates, and are allowed only one apprentice, if one is wanting to be apprentice-sized.
Also Called: Advisor / Protector / Sentry / Elitum
Healer
Your job in the pack is to heal. You are very experienced with flowers, plants, trees, bushes, ect. And you know the land very well. Your day is usually spent traveling over the land, finding new plants and making more concoctions of flowers and petals so you can make new healing juices. Usually, you care for the young and old if there is none hurt. There are two slots open for this position, a full-time healer and an apprentice. Healer's aren't allowed to have cubs, or a mate, but we sometimes bend on the mate rule. (however, plots are welcome!). A list of herbs and ointments can be found on the [Healer Guide] page. You have no special abilities, just knowledge and wisdom. You also must know how to read the skies and the stars, to interpret dreams and the like.
