Name: WaterSinger
Age: 3 years
Breed: Arctic cross Timber
Pack: Velani
Rank: Alphess
Brief Description: WaterSinger is a black and white femme. She is known by her mismatched eyes, and her svelte frame.
Detailed Description: She is a very small female wolf of 2 1/2 foot tall to the shoulder, and maintaining a weight of 65-70 lbs during a good season. Her pelt is a mixture of clearly defined black and white fur. The black markings are ears, cheeks, back, right foreleg, left hindleg and tail. Everything else is white apart from a black teardrop on throat. She is scarred from fights, including a bear claw scar on her chest, plus small canine bite scars on hindlegs. She also has a slightly longer than average muzzle, which makes her look almost odd. Her eyes are two different colors, the left one being normal wolfen gold, the right being a pale icy blue, almost white, but she can see perfectly fine.
When she runs, she uses an economy of movement, but stretches her legs out so she can really run, and move fast enough to escape most situations she cannot fight herself out of. She is slim, but she has got defined muscles in both her fore and hindquarters, due to having run a lot and fought a lot. She is a nasty fighting, and isn't above fighting dirty to save herself, or her meal. When she speaks, she always sounds calm, unless she is cursing some wolf, and then she will usually try for a hiss, not unlike that of a snake, but a hiss containing words. Her howl is different to her voice, and her size, as it swells and the sound seems to hover above her, pinpointing her. The sound of it has been alikened to a sumer stream, burbling happily, as well as to a waterfall, all force and doom.
Personality: WaterSinger is definitely not the kind of wolf anyone would imagine as Alphess of any pack. If she is alone with a wolf, especially a male wolf, she will be more playful and cheerful, as she just finds males to be less talkative. She loves to be near pups, as a pup sitter, or even just as a wolf for the pups to practise hunting on. She is a wolfess who will defend her pack, or pups with her life, but will not always be a wolfess to join in with pack activities, especially not when she is in one of her downward spirals. These can occur at anytime, sometimes for no reason, other times it just takes a wrong word and she will be in a vile mood, normally taking it out on herself. She always fears rejection, as her mother rejected her cruelly.
Other situations have shaped her personality. Sometimes she will be playful, happy and cheerful, and other times she will turn and flee as though man was after her. She will occasionally show true affection to a wolf/ess, though preferring to lay alone and look in on happiness from the outside. She is the sort of wolfess with the will power to adjust to both loneliness and to life in the pack.
History: WaterSinger was born of the Velani's previous Alphas. She was the smallest in the litter of five, and yet the one most determined to live. She had been shoved away from feeding by her brothers and sister, but even at a few days old, she would wiggle closer and squeak loudest until she got what she wanted. Her parents were born of the Original twelve left, and they had all interbred until a generation ago. Now the wolves numbered back in their thousands, and WaterSinger was destined to be one of the most well-known. When her litter were six weeks old, their mother left them alone for the first time to go and feed, but little did they know there was a spy in their midst. The wolf, a spy from the Cazador, did their best to deliver intelligence of the human protecting wolves but had failed, leaving him but one choice. The pups eyes had just opened, and were still that bright blue, their pelts just beginning to lose the darkening edges, when a long muzzle appeared in the den. Not taking heed of the scents around them, they began to squeak for food, only the rumble of a growl filling the den.
The wolf had been too large to fully enter the den, but the scrambling pups had made his job easy. His large jaws made short work of one of her brothers, blood beginning to pool around the crushed corpse of the little male. Her sister was huddled at the furthest back wall, just out of reach of the now blood-stained muzzle. The two remaining males snarled, and protected their sisters, listening to ancient instincts. One met the jaws of the other, his tiny milk teeth finding no purchase upon the brute which was murdering them for no reason. Hearts were breaking before little WaterSinger stepped forward a little, a tiny growl reverbrating through the already dainty frame of the young pup. She shot her paw out, and raked claws down the delicate nose of the elder, marring it and making him bleed. The din that such a brute raised alerted the pack to what was happening, and it was with her sister running, that he was dragged out. Her sister, larger than her, was not harmed physically, but mentally she was never right in the mind again.
The three pups grew up, shadows of each other, the events of their early puphood having petrified them. Their sister found herself alone most the time, and one of the pack elders took her on as an apprentice. She would become a valued member of the pack, whilst exercising the need for violence a bloodthirsty start on life had given her. Their brother left the pack, shortly before their parents died, leaving his sister to take to mantle of being the Queen of the Velani. She has carried on the duty set upon her by her parents, protecting the humans when she has needed to, to the extent of damage for her own pack. She grew, loved by most the pack, only to find herself falling for a wolf from the Kaitsma pack. They had met when their parents had been in council meetings, since they both came from a Great Pack. Soon after they reached eighteen months, they asked their respective parents if they could be mates, but were heartbroken when refused. Since then Singer has been the lone Alphess, her only real friend the pack Guardian, Maelstrom. Now however, there seems to be war brewing, and she needs her pack to be as strong as possible,
